Franklin SEPAC invites you to join us for our monthly workshops

Below is our schedule of events/workshops for the 2016/2017 school year. All workshops will take place at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd floor training room of the Franklin Municipal Building, 355 East Central Street unless otherwise noted. All workshop are free and open to the public.

September 22nd, 2016- Introduction to Special Needs Programming in Franklin/Rights & Regulations; Co-presented by Ms. Debbie Dixson, Director of Student Services and Ms. Laura Gillis, Esq.

September 29th, 2016- Parent to Parent night out at Coles Tavern, 7:00 PM Join us for a relaxing night out with fellow parents!

October 20th, 2016- No Sibling Left Behind; presented by the Massachusetts Sibling Support Network.
October 27th, 2016-

*November 17th, 2016- Transition Fair; a variety of agencies from Early Intervention and the Franklin Public Schools, to college and adulthood, will be on hand to answer parent questions in an open house format. (This will be held in the Oak Street/Horace Mann cafeteria)

January 19th, 2017- Reading Disabilities; presented by Dr. Nadine Gaab, PhD, Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School

February 16th, 2017- Ins and Outs of MassHealth; presented by Massachusetts Family Voices

* TUESDAY, March 14th, 2017- Helping Children Cope: Putting Humpty Dumpty Back Together Again. A look at building resilience in children;presented by Ms. Jeanine Fitzgerald (This will be held in the Horace Man Auditorium)


April 27th, 2017- Financial Planning for Special Needs Children; presented by Mr. Michael Weiner, certified financial planner

May 18th, 2017- A Holistic Approach with Nutrition and Meditation (Inner Explorer Program); presented by Ms. Christene Gerardi and Ms. Janice Houlihan

Past Franklin SEPAC workshop topics have included sibling support, MCAS preparation and accomodations, bullying, emotional dificulties, estate planning, and a special presentations by renowned speakers such as, the Sisters, "Shut up about your Perfect Kid",  Dr. Ross Greene, and Sarah Ward, M.S., CCC/SLP   and Dr
